James "JT" Terlesky

Sadness in our eyes and a smile in our hearts,

JT has driven through the pearly gates of Heaven.

(Making the streets of Adrian a little bit safer.)

Age 68

James “JT” Terlesky, Adrian – James “JT” Terlesky, 68, of Adrian passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at his home. He was born in Dearborn, MI, on March 22, 1953, the son of Joseph and Margaret (Bednar) Terlesky. Jim was the owner of “JT’s Overhead Doors” for 40+ years and he still enjoyed the business, meeting people and making friends along the way.

If there was anything that took Jim away from work, it was going out to play a round of golf. He enjoyed the game so much and had such a great sense of humor that by the time he got off the golf course, he had always made new acquaintances.

Jim married his former wife, Jeanette, and was so grateful to gain a daughter, Danielle (“Princess”), and grandson, Jeffery, both whom he helped raised. Danielle, Jeffery, and family meant the world to Jim. He was also blessed with additional grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jim’s home was his castle. He was the most comfortable there, watching movies, taking care of his house, flowers, and his furry friends. He always enjoyed people stopping by to say hello. Jim’s legacy of kindness, generosity and humor will be carried on by all who knew him.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Jeff) Kendall; son, Alan Loughrige; grandchildren: Jeffery (Gabby), Grant, Sage, Blake, Kayla, Brady James, Alan III, Alana; great-grandchildren: Knowledge and Kaylina; siblings: Bob (Barbara) Terlesky, Sue (Tom Wolf) Dennison, Jack (Jill) Terlesky, Tom (Linda) Terlesky, Barb (Allen) Croasdale, Pat (Mike) Anderson, Cathy Doan and Joe (Barb) Terlesky; step-siblings: Sue (Al) Williams, Mike (Laurie) Bednar and Rob (Lynn) Bednar; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; special friends: Bob Czmer, Frank Marr, Kal, and so many more! He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Terlesky, stepmother, Gerrie Terlesky, and former wife, Jeanette Terlesky.
