Ron Wyman

Ron Wyman was born October 4, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio, and he departed this life on January 6,2022.

He graduated from Libby High School, the University of Toledo school of pharmacy (Phi Kappa Chi), and U S Army Ranger school in Fort Benning, Ga. He aspired to be filling prescriptions until he was 90, but was shy about 4 years. He played clarinet/saxophone in swing bands in high school; he was learning to make music on the tenor saxophone at the time of his passing. He met his wife, student nurse Mary Lou, when he was employed at The Toledo Hospital. They accomplished 62 years of marriage. When their nest emptied, they did road trips through most parts of the continental United States; they visited friends in Czech Republic and Switzerland while exploring Europe. The ease of European river cruises delighted his later years. Ron lived in south Toledo, Adrian, Michigan and finally Manitou Beach, Michigan. He spent many sunsets trolling for bass in his beloved, ratty old fishing boat. He skied lots of blue runs and some favorite black diamond runs in Colorado for many years. Running was his therapy for years until his joints declared “enough!”. He completed the Detroit marathon in 1979.

He was the extremely proud father of Matthew (Alla), Erica Abrahamson (Stu), and Christian (Sabrina). He was the delighted grandfather of Jacob Edmond, Andrew Wyman, Haley Stone (Caleb), Aron Wyman and Jack Abrahamson. Great grandparenting was the star in his crown and the joy of his senior years. He is also survived by his brother, Roger E Wyman. His church was always a presence in his life...historic St. Lucas Lutheran in Toledo and Lutheran Church of the Lakes in Addison, Michigan. He maintained that he prayed best on the riding lawnmower cutting the several acres of grass at LCOL.

A Celebration of Life for Ron will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Lakes, 8800 U.S. Hwy. 223, Addison, MI, 49220.
