Sandra “Sandy” Villegas, age 73 of Blissfield, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Sandy was born October 26, 1948, in Adrian, MI, to Arnold and Ethel (Slayton) Lehr. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1968. On March 16, 1974, in the Blissfield First United Methodist Church she married the love of her life Jerry Villegas, and he survives. Sandy retired from Walmart after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Blissfield First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 30 years. Sandy’s green thumb was very evident if you saw her rose garden and all her indoor plants she had surrounding her. She liked to pass the time sewing and crafting and watching reruns of Gunsmoke. Her family who she loved so much, especially her grandchildren were the most important part of her life.
In addition to her husband, Sandy is survived by her sons; Jeremy (Melissa) Villegas of Adrian, and Joshua (Amy) Villegas of Cape Coral, FL., four grandchildren; Tyler, Branden, Arianna, and Olivia Villegas with baby Jessica soon to arrive. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister; Linda Lou Fuller, brother; Richard Lehr.
Visitation for Sandy will be Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Rudd Funeral Home, in Blissfield, MI and then Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Blissfield First United Methodist Church. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor, Reverend Gunsoo Jung officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, in Blissfield, MI.
