HUDSON – Martha Viola “Pat” Stuttz, age 90, of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 11, 1931, in Hudson to Nirham and Sophia (McKibben) Maxim. On November 1, 1947, she married William H. Stuttz and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2017. Pat retired in 1992 after 31 years as a cook for Hudson Public Schools and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hudson. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and an amazing cook.
She is survived by her four daughters, Peggy Duff of Manitou Beach, Penny (John) Lindsey of Allen, MI, Pamela Stuttz Nudo of Gilbert, AZ, and Polly (John) Chesser of Manitou Beach; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren: and a handful of great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, William and her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her son, Perry Stuttz; granddaughter, Macie Chesser; two brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services for Pat will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian Pastor John Rath of the First Baptist Church of Hudson officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 4-7 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson.
