Cleo Myrtie (Martin) Roberson, age 95, of Riga, MI passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Sunset Village in Sylvania, OH. Cleo was born on February 14, 1926, to Leo Burton and Hazel Myrtie (Johnston) Martin, in Samaria, Michigan. She was a graduate of Dundee High School in 1943 and was a comptometer operator for the Dura Corp. for five years. She married Marion Pleasant “Pete” Roberson at the Samaria Methodist Church on August 2, 1947. She was a housewife and mother, raising five children. She was an excellent archer and won the National Freestyle Championship in 1959 and 1960. She also held Michigan State Freestyle Championships between 1957 and 1964 for freestyle and target archery.
Cleo loved gardening, canning, entomology, and genealogy. She attended New Life Church in Petersburg, MI with her husband.
Cleo is survived by her five children, Howard (Nancy) Roberson, Keitha (Eugene) Morgan, Edwin Roberson, Beverly (Gary) Koppelman, and Marla Martin; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Marion, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Martin and sister, Erma Meinhart.
