NORTH ADAMS - Thomas A. Cooch, age 60 of North Adams, passed away early Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Hillsdale Hospital. He was born in Hudson on September 5, 1961, to the late Alfred and Reva (Double) Cooch. Thomas attended and graduated from Pittsford High School and then furthered his education in the trades, becoming a tool and die maker. He worked for 30+ years at Die Specialties in Pittsford, and most recently, Raymond Tool and Gauge in Montpelier, Ohio.
In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending tractor pulls. He was a member of the Addison Gun Club and co-owner of T & S DCT Properties. In his own words, he was also a dedicated bachelor.
Surviving are his sister, Dawn Bastien; nephews, Brian (Jennie) and Eric (Alicia) Bastien; nieces, Heidi and Holly (Chuck Hazen) Bastien; and six great-nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Herkle Bastien.
Funeral services for Thomas will be held at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home – Hudson Chapel, on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Wesley Rowan will officiate. Interment will follow at Dibble Cemetery in North Adams. The family will receive friends for a period of visitation on Friday, October 8, 2021, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
