Lynn Richardson

Lynn Dee Richardson aka – Honey, Dad, Pa, Uncle Lynn, Buzzard, was, born September 1, 1944, at home in Delta, OH to Gaylord and Rosella (Chamberlain) Richardson passed away peacefully at his home with his beloved and devoted wife holding his hand on October 1, 2021, at the age 77.

Lynn graduated from Chesterfield High School in 1962 and went on to Telegraphy School at the Iowa Institute of Telegraphy. He married the love of his life, Linda on September 7, 1963, and she survives. After marriage, Lynn began working in a factory, farming, and was a manager at A&P. In 1979, he achieved his goal of owning a business, LYN-DA’S Party Store in Morenci where he made many life-long friends. He ultimately retired from Roth’s Fabricating as Head of Sales and Foreman.

In his younger years, Lynn’s hobbies included drag racing and motorcycles. As he got older, he continued to enjoy working on old tractors and cars. He could often be found at an auction with his son and oldest grandson looking for the “next great deal”. He belonged to the Heritage Farmers Antique Tractor Club where he showed and pulled tractors.

Lynn was the biggest fan of his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities, and he was always sure to wear his “fancy” lucky hat. He took great pride in maintaining the family farm and pond where he looked forward to hosting many family parties.

Lynn will be missed by, his wife of 58 years, Linda (Sinks) Richardson; siblings, Ivan (Pam) Richardson and Sharon (Joe) Eich; children, Jeffery Richardson, Lisa (Jerry) VanHavel, and Crystal (Roger) Bloomer; beloved grandchildren, Cody (Ashley), Rebecca (Ken), Erika (Jarrett), Erin, Emily (Chase), Jarrett (Sami), Kaley, and Rylie; great-grandchildren, Kenny, Elena, Sophia, Alessia (Rose), Jhett, Steven, and Shawn; in-laws that loved him like a brother, Bobby, Donny (Sandi), Johnny (Karen), Nancy (Kim), and Carol (Brad); and many nieces and nephews that he adored. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Henry and Geneva Sinks; brother-in-law, Roger; and nephew, Dale Lynn that passed away a year ago.

Lynn will be remembered as a true family man whose pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved and accepted all and found the good in everything and everyone. The world is all the better because he was once in it.

Visitation for Lynn will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021, at Morenci Bible Fellowship Church, 13181 Simms Hwy, Morenci from 2-6 p.m.
