Blissfield – Lavone Faye Johnson, age 75, of Blissfield, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born on July 30, 1946, in Toledo, OH the daughter of Louis and Mabel (Apger) Niner. She was a graduate of Swanton High School. On December 2, 1967, in Swanton, she married Howard L. Johnson and together they ran the family farm and Johnson Trucking. Lavone managed the Frosty Boy in Blissfield, enjoyed playing Bunco, and doing crafts that she would sell at craft shows. Lavone will be remembered by her family and friends as always helping others before herself and how she was a mother to all. Lavone was a 4-H leader and enjoyed taking projects to the Lenawee County Fair. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and going to the casino.
In addition to her husband, Howard, she is survived by her two daughters, Kim (Allen) Snead and Dawn (Brian) Johnson-Wilcox; three grandchildren, Keegan (Hanna McLaughlin) Snead, Dalton (Bry Hoffmann) Snead, and Kaitlin (Kevin) Peter; sister, Betty Hoffmann; and brother-in-law, Robert Czajka. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ann Czajka; and brother-in-law, Gerald Hoffmann.
Visitation for Lavone will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 2-7 p.m. at Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield with Rev. Aden Porter officiating. A private burial will be held in Ogden Cemetery.
