Charles Murray Bishop

Adrian - Charles Murray Bishop, age 77, of Adrian passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at his home under the loving care of his family. He was born on June 21, 1944 in Royal Oak to Charley and Margaret (Bush) Bishop. Charles married the love of his life, Millie Marie Michael’s on October 21, 1964 in Ypsilanti- she survives him in his passing. Charles “Charlie” was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Ypsilanti and the Faith Baptist Church in Adrian.  Charlie lived his life with tenacity and joy; he enjoyed riding motorcycles, bowling, golfing, Jeeps and ships.  He liked mowing the lawn and to go traveling with Millie riding on their motorcycle together. Charlie warmed the hearts of those around him and made a lasting impact on their lives-his smile and honest demeanor can be echoed in the memories of the ones he loves. Charlie’s life was one full of laughter and love. Charlie will be remembered by his family as a good man, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.

 

In addition to his wife Millie, Charlie is survived by and lives on in the hearts and memories of his son, Charley II (Karen) Bishop; grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Dana, Stephanie, Leighton, Brandon, Jesse, Charley III, Megan, Kristina, Anthony, Michael, Vanessa, Daniel, and Dakota; great-grandchildren, Eston, Ezri, McKinze, Blake, Jace, Zander, Kaylyn, Bentley, Aurora, Chevy, Phoenix, Samantha, Nikole, Brayden, Levi, Grayson, Danielle, Liliana, and Liam; as well as three sisters, Elizabeth Ballard, Barbara (Gene) Watson, and Charlene (Morrie) Dicer and brothers, Leighton (Mary) Ballard and Al Richards. He was preceded in death by two sons, Carlos, in infancy, and Paul; and a daughter, Dorinda, in infancy; as well as a sister, Patricia Richards and brother in-law, Paul J. Ballard.

 

Funeral services for Charles will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 2:00pm with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Greg Burdine officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
