Donald Leroy Brown, Jr., age 58, of Lainsburg, MI, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. He was born in Clinton, MI on June 17, 1962, to Donald L. and Wyla Y. (Carr) Brown. Don worked as a truck driver for Wiswasser Brothers Trucking, for several years; and also co-owned Outlaw Barrel Horses with his girlfriend, Wanda, for many years. In his free time, Don enjoyed horses - especially barrel racing, farming, and hunting. His family says he made the best fudge and no-bake cookies around.
Surviving Don are his girlfriend, Wanda Kuripla; children, Don, III (Sandra) and Holly Brown and Jesika Baughey; a granddaughter, Hadley Brown; brothers, Tom and Dan Brown; and sisters, Diana (Gary) Howard, Kathy (Terry) Ragless, Becky Smith, Robin (Doyle) Pike, Dawn Smith (Jamie Campbell), Jennifer (Don) Thompson, Joann (Ed) Frazer, and Tina (Steve) Price. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Rose Brown and Jane Black; and a brother, Ron Brown.
Funeral services for Don will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 1:00 P.M., at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home - Husdon Chapel, with cremation to follow. Rev. William Van Valkenburg will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M., also at the funeral home. Memorial gifts in Don's memory may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses.
