Fay Rene Campbell departed her family to be with her heavenly Father on February 22, 2021.
Fay was born in Oneida, Tennessee on October 3, 1943 to Jesse (Bertha) Byrd. At the young age of 8, she moved to Michigan with her family. She graduated from Madison High School where she was very proud to be the captain of the cheerleading team. She married her husband James Walter Campbell on February 1, 1963. She was mother to two daughters: Tammy (Dave) Pixley and Tracy (Kevin) Stace. She enjoyed many years of being a stay at home mother. Once the girls were older, she was employed by the Blissfield State Bank for 26 years, many of those she held position of branch manager. God was always the center of her entire life. She served as Missionette’s leader at Bethany Assembly of God for many years. She lived very simply and loved her family and friends with all she had.
She enjoyed music, and dancing. She was fun loving and will be remembered for always wearing a big smile. Along with her daughters and son-in-laws, she is survived by 4 loving grandchildren: Madison Fisher, Carson Pixley, Logan Pitts, and Landon Pitts. Her beloved “puppy” Marshall will miss her just as much as the rest of us. Her sisters Betty Byrd, Sharron (Richard) Patterson and Sherrie Lacey; brother-in-law Danny (Glenna) Campbell. Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many other loved ones. For the past year and a half, she enjoyed her final days at Blissfield Place. She will be missed by the many residents and caregivers there. Special thank you to Hospice of Lenawee. Fay is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Doug and Denzel Byrd and sister Janice Landry.
