Paul Alan Brockway, age 86, of Hudson, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Hillsdale Hospital. He was born on June 1, 1934, in Adrian, to Leo and Pearl (Conway) Brockway. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. On March 24, 1956, in Adrian, he married Dorolyn Peltier and she preceded him in death in 1991. Paul was a member of the NRA, enjoyed bowling, hunting, golfing, and supporting the Hudson Tigers Football and Wrestling.
Paul is survived by three sons, James (Marcy) Brockway, John "Butch" Harrel, and Doug (Jolynn) Harrel; four daughters, Coleen (Dan) McComb, Paula (Gary) Austin, Lisa (Darran) Duchene, and Susan (Jim) Silvernail; sister, Ada Putnam; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addtion to his wife, Dorolyn and his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Brockway; five brothers, and six sisters.
Per Paul's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation for Paul will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021, from 4-8 p.m. at the Hudson First Congregational Church, Hudson. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hudson First Congregational Church, Hudson with Pastor Eric Hickman officiating and full military rites conducted by the Hudson American Legion Post #180. A private burial of cremains will take place at a later date.
