Dean Russell Suiter rode into heaven on the wings of angels, passing away unexpectedly on February 3, 2021, in Saginaw, Michigan. Dean was born on December 28, 1963, in Detroit, MI to Raymond E. and Beatrice E. (Clark) Suiter. He graduated from Adrian High School in 1982. He grew up with a passion for rodeos and trucks, which continued into his adult and family life.
He married his fair sweetheart, Kristy Fisher on November 29, 1986, at North Blissfield Immanuel Lutheran Church. During their 34 years together they raised three children, Devin, Kelsey, and Dakota. Dean loved attending and watching his children’s activities and was an avid fan of their school achievements, sporting events, 4-H projects, livestock shows, rodeos, and competitions. He was on the bleachers, in the barns with them and their livestock, or at the sidelines watching and encouraging them every step of the way.
Dean was a professional semi driver of 40 years. He spent days and nights in his 18-wheeler on the highways and back roads of America. He formerly owned D&K Trucking, and over the years worked for several great trucking companies including Lum Hughston Livestock Trucking of McBain, MI. and Sercombe Trucking of Jackson, MI. Dean was well known and trusted among fellow drivers and easily made friends out on the road as well as having many close personal friends near home. His CB handle, “T-Bone” was a welcome call-out to his brother drivers as they rolled across the miles. He took pride in his ride and his truck was always spotless. He was dedicated to his job hauling livestock and enjoyed the journeys, but the best part of every run was to turn into the driveway on Deerfield Rd. and return home to be with his family.
In addition to his wife Kristy, Dean is survived by his son, Devin (Katie Payne), daughter, Kelsey all of Blissfield, and son, Dakota (Becca Neal) of Adrian. Other survivors cherishing his memory are his siblings, Dale (Glenda) Suiter of Atlanta, MI, Denise (Dan) Ery of Adrian, Douglas Suiter of Britton, and Debra (David) Beatty of Naples, FL; his mother and father-in-Law, Bob and MaryLou Fisher of Palmyra, brothers-in-law, Craig (Karla) Fisher of Blissfield, Ryan (Kris) Fisher of Palmyra, and Louis Kassuba,of Clare; and along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Dylan and Dena Suiter in infancy, sister, Donna Kassuba, and nephew, Wesley Fisher.
