MORENCI - Chad A. Miller, age 80 of Morenci passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Lenawee. He was born on December 15, 1940 in Madison Center, Michigan to Charles and Lucille (Stevens) Miller. On August 21, 1960, Chad married the former Carol Jean Munk in Hudson, Michigan. She survives. Chad served his country proudly with the U.S. Army from 1962 - 1965. He worked as a Barber at the Varsity Barber Shop for many years, retiring in 2006. When Chad wasn't working, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, bowling, and playing slo-pitch softball, until he tripped over the chalk line, breaking his shoulder, and ending his career. He also enjoyed playing cards, including Euchre and Pedro and watching sports, especially his beloved Detroit Teams. Above all that, his greatest joys were his family and keeping a "perfect" yard, which only became more impeccable as the years went on.
In addition to his wife, Carol, he is survived by his children, Daniel (Kathy) Miller of Pittsford, MI and Donna (Bruce) Merillat of Morenci, MI; a brother, James (Marguerite) Miller of Hillsdale, MI; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, which was the apple of Chad's eye. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings, Wendell Miller, Earl Miller, Blanch Bancroft, Bonnie Doran and Daniel Miller.
