Jack Alan Miller, age 83, of Adrian, passed away on February 7, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 26, 1935, in Adrian to Lee and Donna (White) Miller. On December 3, 1955, in Delta, OH he married Nancy Bowerman, and she survives. Jack helped construct I-75 up through Northern Michigan, while working with Chi-Bros Construction, Detroit. He worked for Bales Inc. for 22 years as a heavy equipment mechanic, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local #324 for 40 years and the NRA. Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing and his true passion was feeding and watching his birds. He spent many warm summer weekends at Lake Erie with his family and friends, at his boat “Miller Time”.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, Jack is survived two daughters, Elaine (Rick) Coopshaw and Gail (Gary Krutz) Miller; son, Steve (Melanie) Miller; grandchildren, Charles Parkes, Erin Raker, Erica, Lee, and Jessica Miller, and Bethany Miller; and great grandchildren, Riley, Charles, Gee Gee, Cica, Samuel, and Jameson. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.
Per Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
