Renie, Renie. That is the only name we called out to you when we met. We knew your name was Normaleen but using the name of Renie was the same as saying friend or best buddy. It is hard to write because I am constantly wanting to speak to you. Jan & I first met you at church. Then we kind of "chummed" around together. We were the young people then. So many memories. Even though time and distance was kept us away we made a promise to you and ourselves that we would visit you once or twice a year. It was still fun on each of our visit to see you over the past years.
My heart goes out to all who feel the hurt and grief of Renie's passing. Our heart is sad and wounded and those who knew Renie feel the sadness. Sorry for that loss.
Renie, Oh, Renie.
For the past two years I've had the privilege of meeting Normaleen as I walked down the hall to be with my mother, there would be Normaleen. We would chat a while and share a big hug. She had such an interesting life. The best days for me were when she told me she was ornery. I knew then that she was having a pretty good day.
To each of you, may God's grace and peace comfort and surround you. She is in God's loving arms and has been given her angel wings.
So sad to read of Renie's passing. We had so many fun vacations and adventures through the years. Tom, Renie and I all worked together at the paper, and then later Renie and I shared many the mile together driving back and forth to work in Toledo. She was like a younger sister to my mom, and the older sister I never had. Our families go back many, many years.
Know you kids are in our thoughts and prayers. I'm sure she will be keeping an eye on us!
