Sharon, and family,
I have many fond memories of Coach Connors, as my teacher, mentor, and friend of the family. During school, I enjoyed his classroom, and I looked forward helping out in the AV room delivering TVs and projectors setting them up for the teachers. Then there were the times our families were together at your home, or in Gatlinburg / Great Smoky Mountains at your campsite when we were kids.
From the entire Gross family, our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in the passing of your husband, father, and grandfather.

So saddened by Pat's death this last Sunday. He had been ill for so long, that perhaps it should not have been a surprise, when it came, yet it was... I and my family have known Pat and Sharon since the mid 1950's when Sharon came to work as a nurse in my father's medical practice in Britton. They quickly became good friends ... a relationship that has continued to this day. It is so rare to meet a couple, a family, who are intertwined so deeply in one's hearts as Pat and Sharon and their children became in ours. Wonderful memories abound of our many happy gatherings, both in Britton and at our family cottage on Vineyard Lake, with much fun and laughter. Those happy times will never be forgotten.
I will miss Pat's wonderful sharp wit.. his love of coaching football and wrestling to a great many high school students.. his active, inquiring mind,..his love of history, both local and world wide .. his amazing artistic talent.. his immense loyalty... his great humanitiy....his love for his family and his friends. He was truly a Man for All Seasons. He will be greatly missed.
So sorry to hear of Coach Connors passing; he was a wonderful man and mentor to so many. This is a great loss to our community and a tremendous loss to your family. My thoughts are with all of you during this difficult time.
Dear Sharon and family
My sincere sympathy in the passing Pat. He was a mentor to me in numerous ways, a creative person in many areas, and a gentle giant. In the late 1960s as wrestling was add throughout the county, he organized a junior varsity tournament and it morphed into county tournament they will hold the night of his funeral.
He would use his knowledge as he was a giver. In early 80s several of us came on a Monday night and he showed myself and another football coach how to defeat a certain defense. We took the three things he gave us, used them, and won. To this day I can still see all the items in his classroom and how he was always ahead of the curve. So darn creative and thinker.
Have fond memories and my sincere sympathy
So terribly sorry for your loss Sharon. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
