Adrian– Francis R. Coscarelli, age 89, of Adrian, MI, went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2017. He was born on February 22, 1928, in Adrian, MI to Frank and Angela (Scaccia) Coscarelli. He owned and operated The Palace Restaurant in Adrian with his parents for 20 years. Francis was in the military and served in the Army in the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Adrian. Francis was an avid Notre Dame fan and was very well versed in all of the old Hollywood Movies, including the cast of actors and actresses, dating back as early as the 1930’s.
He is survived by three nieces, Linda (Ron Nichols) Coscarelli of Adrian, Gina (Terry Trott) Coscarelli of Tecumseh, Patti (Mark) Coscarelli-Baugh of Adrian, two nephews, Steve Coscarelli of Ann Arbor, Richard (Vicki) Coscarelli of Tecumseh, numerous great nieces and nephews, Joshua and Jacob Slick, Angela and Hannah Jacobsen, Alyssa Salisbury, Evan Trott, Claire Coscarelli, Dominic Coscarelli, and Victor Coscarelli and numerous great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Coscarelli and Richard Coscarelli.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017, from 2:00-7:00 PM. at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian and on Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Adrian. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Adrian with full Military Rites conducted by the American Legion Post #97 and V.F.W. Post #1584 Annis-Fint.
