CLAYTON – Leo Braxton Pelham, age 75, of Clayton died Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Hospice of Lenawee.
He was born June 11, 1942 in Hudson, MI to Ralph C. and Irene Margaret (Kelly) Pelham. On February 11, 1961 in Adrian he married Christine Holland and she survives. Leo was a member of North Rome Baptist Church. He owned and operated Leo’s Metal & Wood in Clayton. He served as a volunteer for the Village of Clayton for most of his life. Leo enjoyed hotrods, motorcycles, and cherished his family.
In addition to his wife Chris, he is survived by four daughters, Dina (Ryan Pickle) Pelham of Adrian, Charlotte (Bret) Southwell of Manitou Beach, Penny (Mark) Jeffrey of Clayton and Page Pelham of Clayton; one brother, Ray (Catherine) Pelham of Adrian; one sister, Mary Alice (Susie) Underwood; six grandchildren, Whitney (Jacob) Bovee, Sydney and Mason Simpson, Braxton and Bailey Southwell and Kenadee Eby; and two great grandchildren, Paxon and Penelope. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Anna Mae Beaubien, Calla Jean Patton, and one brother Mike Pelham.
Funeral services for Leo will be held on Thursday October 12, 2017 at 11 am at the Anderson- Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Rev. Fritz Kruse officiating. Burial will be in Canandaigua Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October11, 2017, from 2-8 p.m. at the Anderson- Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.
