Obituary of Susan Maynard

TECUMSEH- Susan Maynard, age 76, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017, at home. Susan was born on September 12, 1941, to John and Marguerite (Fischer) Keifer and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. On May 15, 1976 Susan married Randall Maynard in Adrian and he survives. She was retired from Peerless Gear and was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Adrian. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and camping in Northern Michigan with her husband and dogs.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Randall Maynard, of Tecumseh, are her three sons, Russell (Rossana) Parrish, Palmyra, MI, Bret (Kelley) Maynard, Tecumseh, MI, Randy Cale Maynard, Manitou Beach, MI; five daughters, Stacy (Brad) Carpenter, Adrian, MI, Kecia (Chuck) Werner, Tecumseh, MI, Tricia (Steve) Penney, Rochester, MN, Mikeal (Jason) Henning, Fruita, CO, Lisa (Everett) Cornell, Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Don (Beverly) Keifer, Grants Pass, OR and Michael (Linda) Keifer, Palmyra, MI; three sisters, Shirley Leppell, Adrian, MI, Mary (Dean) Whitehead, Virginia Beach, VA, Patricia Dermyer, Adrian, MI; 19 grandchildren, Zack (Sabrina), Zane (Ally), Zariah, Zoee, Nick (Adrian), Dylan, Austin, Tristan, Stephen (Jade), Ryan, David (Bee), Jackson, Trey, Elijah, Isaiah, Landon, Jameson, Trevor (Nicole) and Tailor; three great-grandchildren, Peyton, Delanee, Mairead. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marguerite Keifer; two brothers, Frank and Jack Keifer; a sister, Joan Liski.

 A Memorial Mass for Susan will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Father Tom Murphy as celebrant. Inurnment will follow in the columnbarium at St. Joseph Cemetery, Adrian.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Anderson-Funeral Home, Adrian, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and 10-11 a.m. before the service on Friday.
