Obituary of Everett Ash

Adrian-Everett Arden Ash, age 94, of Adrian, died August 21, 2017, at Charlotte Stephenson Manor in Adrian. He was born March 8, 1923, in Hillsdale, Michigan to Echo and Nina (Whitehead) Ash.  On January 29, 1953, he married Wanda Perkins.  Everett served in the U.S. Army during WWII with tours of duty in England, France and Germany, and was a former member of the American Legion. He had been employed by Stubnitz Green, which became Hoover Ball Bearing and then Johnson Control, for 40 years. He enjoyed playing baseball.

He is survived by nieces, Sara (Edward) Sitar and Patti Fox; step-son, Lonny Hallenbeck; step-daughter, Linnda (David) Hoover; brothers-in-law, Keith Perkins and Lloyd Sheldon; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, his parents, sister, Amy Fox.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Eric Hickman officiating.   Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the American Legion Post #97 and V.F.W. Post #1584 Annis-Fint.
