TIPTON– Daniel “Dan” Graczyk, age 65, of Tipton, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at home. He was born on January 27, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan to Raymond and Bettie (Russell) Graczyk. Dan worked at the GM Fisher Body Plant in Detroit for several years and went on to become a Corrections Officer who supervised the ‘Chain Gang’ otherwise known as Public Works at Gus Harrison Correctional Facility in Adrian, retiring in 2006. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring muscle cars, and going to swap meets and gun shows.
He is survived by his one son, Troy (Rosie) Graczyk of Orlando, FL; one daughter Terri (Ed) Spiteri of Onsted, MI, their mother, Wendy Graczyk of Onsted; two brothers Randy (Linda) Graczyk of Allen Park, MI, David (Betty) Graczyk of Whitaker, MI; five grandchildren, Nathan (Chorissa), Alex, Matthew, Lance, Luke; two great-grandchildren, Cadence, Callen and two more on the way; his hunting and fishing buddy, Noel Griggs and his beloved Boston Terrier, “Abby.” He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home Adrian. Funeral service will be on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 7 p.m. at Anderson- Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, with Deacon Wayne Charlton officiating. Burial will be on Monday, July 24, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, Michigan. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
