Obituary of Roger Sprague

ADRIAN – Roger O. Sprague, age 82, of Adrian, passed away on May 28, 2017, at Toledo Hospital after complications from heart surgery.  He was born on February 8, 1935, in Morenci, to Bernard and Dorothy (Fortney) Sprague. He was married to Mary Lou Nortley and she preceded him in death.  Roger was a Cub Scout leader for six years, a member of the Mom and Dad’s Club at Madison Schools, was an avid morel mushroom hunter, and loved his dog, Lou.

Roger is survived by two sons, Mark (LeiAnn Dazey) Sprague of Adrian and Kip (Tina) Sprague of Onsted; loving grandfather of Nathan; brother, Don Sprague; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sprague and Tammy Nortley, and brother-in-law, Tim (Kim) Nortley.  In addition to his wife, Mary Lou, he was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Glen, Gene, Harold, Verl, and Jerry Sprague, and one sister, Bernita Clark.

A memorial visitation for Roger will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.   You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Sprague family for future designation.
