ADRIAN – Merced “Joe” Hernandez, age 76, of Adrian, passed away on May 25, 2017, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Lenawee. He was born November 17, 1940, in Riga, Michigan to Dolores and Mary (Valdez) Hernandez. He worked for Tecumseh Products for over 40 years. Joe was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing pool, was a lifetime Eagles member, and a faithful NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his a son, Steven (Royel) Hernandez of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Tina (Rob) Buie of Adrian, MI, Brenda Hernandez of West Dundee, IL; brothers, Rudolph Hernandez of Rio De Janero, Brazil, Antonio (Courtney) Hernandez of Adrian; sisters, Marie (Richard) Regalado of Adrian, Connie (Cliff) Kingsly of Adrian, Esther (Peter) Carr of Adrian; Longtime companion, Barbara Poe and her two sons, Steven and Daniel; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be held at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 11-12:45 p.m., to be followed by the service at 1:00 p.m.
