HUDSON – Mildred I. Marks, age 84, of Adrian, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at Gaslight Village Assisted Living after a short illness with pancreatic cancer.
She was born January 3, 1933, in Adrian to Williard and Lona (Fauver) Emery. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1950. On May 26, 1951, she married William C. Marks. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. Mildred spent most of her career doing clerical/secretarial work, retiring from Siena Heights University in September 1998.
She is survived by three daughters; Nancy (Leonard) Beaubien of Hudson, Judy (Craig) Schneiderbauer of Whitehouse, OH, and Wendy (Bently) Laser of Alanson; a brother, Jerry Emery of Adrian; a sister, Esther Gagnon of Adrian; seven grandchildren: Christopher Beaubien, Audrey (Jason) Wegner, Eric and Emily Schneiderbauer, Bently, Holly and Shelby Laser, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, her parents, a sister, Alice Emery, and a son, Bradley William in infancy.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Keller officiating. Burial will be in Dover Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 3050 W. Beecher Rd, Adrian 49221 and also on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
