Donald Ray Johnson, age 77, of Adrian, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Hospice of Lenawee, Hospice’s Home of Adrian. He was born November 26, 1939, in Franklin Township to Homer and Blanch (Alwood) Johnson. On December 14, 1957, he married Carole Coulon in Adrian and she survives.
Donald was the owner of Master Auto Body Shop in Adrian, retiring in 2010. He attended Jasper Bible Church and was a member of the Maple City Bass Club. Don also served as a volunteer fire fighter for the Madison Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Surviving Don, along with his wife Carole of 59 years are his daughters, Sherry Hartung of Adrian, Ronda (Scott) Jewell of Onsted, Stacey (Matt) Baker of Adrian, 6 grandchildren, Tiffany (Brent) Reuter, Anthony (Olivia) Jewell, Jamie Jewell, Kelsey Baker, Kloe Baker, Klair Baker, and great grandchildren Zander Dickey, Haven Reuter, and Connor Jewell. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Don will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with Reverend Bruce Jewett officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Park of Adrian. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
