Daisy M. Fowler, age 88, of Adrian, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Provincial House of Adrian. She was born April 4, 1929, in Vina, Alabama to James Robert and Eva (Barnes) White. On October 26, 1974, she married Hugh Fowler in Tecumseh. He preceded her in death. Daisy had been employed by Gerity’s for 13 years. She had also been the owner and operator of several beauty shops, including the Pink Poodle in Adrian, Fashion Flair in Birdsal, and the Tecumseh Beauty Salon. She enjoyed playing bingo.
Daisy is survived three grandchildren, James, Chad and Rebecca Humphres; a great-grandson, Bryson Allison; two step-daughters, Debbie (Archie) Ross and Sharma Fowler, all of Onsted; several step-grandchildren, including, Kristy (Donald) Pinter, Stephanie Fowler, Gary Hanning, Jr. and Amber Hanning; several step-great-grandchildren, including, Kaitlyn and Alijah Gallant and Nevaeh and Gabriel Amarillas, Jr. and many nieces and nephews, including, Jewell (Homer) Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Homer Humphres; her second husband, Hugh Fowler; her parents; a son, William “Bill” Humphres; three brothers, James, Clyde, and Albert White; and a sister, Lucy Fletcher.
Funeral services for Daisy will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Brian Jones officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
