Obituary of Agnes "Aggie" Zivic
Agnes “Aggie” M. Zivic, age 86, of Adrian, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Bixby Medical Center.
She was born February 12, 1931, in Ironwood, Michigan to Frank and Angeline (Misuraco) Kasper. She attended school in Hurley, Wisconsin. She was married to Steve Zivic on September 27, 1947, in Hurley, WI and he preceded her in death on January 15, 1996. Aggie had been a resident of the Adrian area since 1950. She had been employed at Tip Top Restaurant for 36 years, retiring in 1991. She then worked at Keller’s Restaurant from 1993-1995. She was a member of St. Mary of Good Counsel Catholic Church and served as President of the Rosary Altar Society. Aggie is survived by a brother, Frank (Joan) Kasper of Arizona; three sisters, Elvira Black of California, Nancy (Wayne) Mulac of Fort Myers, FL, and Mary (Pete) Maniates of Oak Brook, IL; two grandchildren, Bethea and Nicholas; four beloved great-grandchildren, De’Aireon, Nicholas Jr., Zier, and Jade; several foster grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her husband, Steve, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Phyllis Zivic; two brothers, William Kasper and Vincent Kasper; and two sisters, Antoinette Maki and Joyce DeFrancesia.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 11:00a.m. at St. Mary of Good Counsel Catholic Church with Father Tom Murphy presiding. Cremation will follow the service and burial of cremains will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017, 2-4p.m. and 6-8p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home where there will be a Vigil Prayer Service held at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will also be held from 10a.m. to 10:45a.m. at St. Mary of Good Counsel Catholic Church, to be followed by the funeral liturgy.
