MICHIGAN CENTER- Marjorie Corinne Watson, age 69, of Michigan Center, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 13, 2017. She was born on September 3, 1948 in Detroit, AL to Marvin and Agile (Carter) Cook. On March 21, 1970 in Tecumseh she married William “Bill” Watson and he survives. Before this she had owned Discount Invitation House in Jackson, MI. She was retired from Meijer, Inc., in 2014 after 20 years. For many years, she has worked hard on her garden in the front yard, selecting perfect plants and taking plants from her mother’s garden or others who meant something to her. She also enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and going to garage sales. She was an active member of the church of Christ and later Cornerstone Christian Church. Corinne truly enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. This past summer, her adventurous side really came out when she enjoyed zip lining and traveling to Las Vegas.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Watson, of 47 years of marriage. She had two daughters, Kimberlie Watson, of Delaware, OH, and Suzanne (Cory) Watson-Roberson, of Brooklyn, MI. She had one grandson, Cecil Roberson, age 4, whom she adored. She is survived by her sister Retha (Jim) Borton of Adrian, MI, and her brother, Jack (Janet) Cook, of Clinton, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Cecil and Agile Cook, and her brother, Norman. She will be dearly missed by so many.
Visitation for Corinne will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 2-8 p.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian with Don Belcher officiating. A private burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh.
